From: "Erkenswick, Tom M." Subject: Repeat of Lep recording status from Cybersleaze Date sent: Tue, 14 Mar 95 16:30:00 cst There were two bits posted from Cybersleaze, circa March 6 and 8: ---------------------------------------------------- * DEF LEPPARD are in the middle of recording 16 tracks for a new album due out in the autumn - in a villa in Spain. "We horrified the owner when we threw out all the furniture," says singer JOE ELLIOT. The group are using state-of-the-art digital recording equipment - a mobile studio which can be packed away in a suitcase. ---------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: DEF LEPPARD have left their villa in Spain for the damper climes of the Republic of Ireland. They are to continue work on their next album, due for release in early 1996. Spokeswoman SIAN THOMAS says, "Recent stories in BILLBOARD magazine that they are working with a portable studio that fits in a suitcase are ludicrous. "They are the result of singer JOE ELLIOT winding a journalist up in a bar. "They have left Spain now and are in Southern Ireland. Hopefully the bad weather will keep them working hard in the studio because they can be up to two years late when they are working on an album. "Believe me - I have been working with them for 13 years and I know." --------------------------------------------------- Tom M. Erkenswick terkensw@gp804.jsc.nasa.gov
