The 25-track CD entitled Cybernauts Live will contain 18 live tracks and 7 studio tracks and will only be available through the official Cybernauts web site, WWW.CYBERNAUTSRULEOK.COM. This project first came into fruition for Joe Elliott and Phil Collen at a Def Leppard show in Stockholm. The same day that Mick Ronson passed away, Def Leppard decided to spontaneously play an acoustic version of Ziggy Stardust as a tribute to him. In discussing how the project developed from there, Joe Elliott states, ``One year on and we are into the opening bars of Width of a Circle and I can hardly believe it. Little ol' me groovin' away on songs I grew up on that I never thought I'd get the chance to perform live, especially with the original ''spiders`` rhythm section. That was the first Mick Ronson memorial show. Jump forward to 1997 and the opportunity of doing it one more time knocks on the door. Only this time we wanted to take it out a little further.'' A small series of tour dates were shortly after arranged and the Cybernauts are now set to release their album comprised of these shows as a tribute to the artists who have been most influential to them, in particular, David Bowie and Mick Ronson. Def Leppard is also currently writing material for their new album for Mercury Records.
