There are some surprises--it's a more adventurous, less produced, nice mix of rockers, acoustic and midtempo stuff, and ballads (3 of those). "Work it Out," a midtemp rocker by Vivian that's kind of U2ish, is the first single here, though "Slang" is elsewhere--I like that one, it's an anthem, a kind of mix between hip hop and "Sugar," quite danceable."Breathe a Sigh" is my favorite of the ballads. I also like "Truth," which has a heavy groove and some echo effects on the vocals, the eastern-flavored (as in India) "Turn to Dust," cool rocker "Gift of Flesh," and the hypnotic, edgy, ominous "Pearl of Euphoria." I interviewed Phil and Vivian, though Sav was there too and I got photos of all three. Good news is the U.S. tour starts June 28 somewhere in the midwest, possibly Cleveland. I didn't have time to ask about aol/internet; I had a little over a half hour and the album had to take priority. The interview will be in the Aug. issue, out May 28. Gerri -------- She also mentioned, to me, another tune called "Deliver" or "Deliver Me" which was the hardest "rocker" on the album.....said all 3 guys looked great! Joe is still in Dublin but will be joining them in LA later this month. Neither his divorce nor Phil's is final yet, but that Phil and Jackie were "getting along" and Phil has Rory every weekend, which is nice! Jen/DJ
