He is North European (swedish or danish) and previous to his role as producer/mixer/arranger/songwriter he was part of a hard rock band called Motherland. He moved to LA many years ago and has been working steadily for different artists since. Apart from writing and producing most of Aerosmith's Just Push Play, his most outstanding work is: . Nominnee for Golden Globe Award in 1998 for co-writing the music to Still Crazy (starring Jimmy Nail, a comedy about a washed-up 70s hard rock band who reunite for a comeback tour. A bit like This Is Spinal Tap, but not as good). . Wrote "Ten Light Years Away" with Mick Jones (Foreigner) in The Scorpions "Eye To Eye" CD. . Produced, mixed and arranged The Jason Bonham Band's last CD. . Produced and co-wrote a hard rock band called Brother Cane for their "Seeds" album. This triggered the Aerosmith collaboration, as the sound is very similar. . Appeared in "Almost Famous" as part of the musicians behind the Stillwater monicker. . Produced, arranged and wrote songs for Meja (a swedish equivalent to Britney Spears but with a rock edge). So, as you can see, he is basically a hard rock man. No worries about him "softening" the Leps' sound. I'm sure that the tracks he has co-written are excellent. All the best Daniel
