Def Leppard, the band that defined hard rock in the 1980s, and Randy Travis, the singer who brought country music back to the basics that same decade, return to Rockford this summer, four years after they last appeared here.
And there's more summer music news to tell: The date has been set for Cheap Trick's return to On the Waterfront, Rockford's largest festival. It's Sunday, Aug. 31, at Davis Park.
Def Leppard plays at the downtown MetroCentre Saturday, June 21. New Irish rocker Ricky Warwick opens. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. May 10. Price and other ticket sales information are not yet available.
