I've finally finished the lyrics pages for Yeah!. The site now also includes lyrics for all the extra bonus songs available from different stores. The lyrics are available in hypertext format and in plain text format as well.

Newsfeed now available

Monday, February 13th, 2006

With the site upgrade, the Def Leppard Archive now has an RSS, or Real Simple Syndication, news feed.

An RSS feed is a way for a site to provide quick updates to a large audience without having to to constantly visit the web page. A typical feed includes a short blurb about the new update, plus a link that opens the full web page in your web browser. You can find more information about RSS feeds from Answers.com.

To start using an RSS feed, you first need an RSS News Reader. Some popular ones can be found at Blogspace. If you use the browser Mozilla Firefox or the email program Mozilla Thunderbird, they each come with a built in news readers and you don't have to download any other programs (and they're both free!).

If you are using Mozilla Firefox, you should see the Feed icon Livemark icon in the browser's Location bar. Click on the icon and select "Subscribe to…" This will automatically load the feed into your Bookmarks for easy browsing. With Mozilla Thunderbird, if you haven't already, create a new account of the type "News & Blogs" and then add a new feed with the address (URL) shown below.

If you're using another program, you will probably need to directly enter the feed address into your program. Simply copy and paste the following address (URL) into your program and you should be all set

I'm back

Tuesday, July 6th, 2004

So I'm back. I just moved to my new job after having finished 22 years of school. Oof. So now that's all done, and I have (some) free time again to continue updating The Def Leppard Archive. I have a few more samples of cover songs available (very popular right now) to put up sometime this weekend.

New look for the Def Leppard Archive

Thursday, June 26th, 2003

So I've gone and changed the look for the Def Leppard Archive. The previous layout was the original from way back in 1996 when I started the Def Leppard Archive and I had only done minimal changes to it since then. I haven't changed the site organization, so all files and documents will be in the same place and still easy to find. The change is still in progress, so expect to see new stuff and tweaks in the following weeks (months?).

I have more detailed information online about the new look and what you should expect. If you have any comments and/or suggestions, please tell me. Thanks!

Updates to The Def Leppard Archive

Tuesday, March 20th, 2001

The Def Leppard Archive has undergone several updates recently.

The server hosting the machine received a new motherboard (which is why the Archive was down for most of January and February 2001), and added more disk space (more files!!!). Also, it is now entirely written in XHTML. With XHTML, I can do upgrades and style layout changes much easier, which means that things can look nicer and will be easier to navigate.

New format coming

Sunday, August 20th, 2000

With the reopening of DefLeppard.com and it's up to the minute news breaks, the news section of the Def Leppard Archive (this page) will change. I will still be providing recent reviews, and news articles, as well as updating the pictures archive to include pictures throughout the year, to name a few. Below, you can see the formating for the addition of new reviews and articles. The first couple paragraphs will be displayed so that the reader will quickly get a feel for the article.

If you have any comments and/or suggestions on how to make the Def Leppard Archive better, please don't hesitate to contact me.
